I am using a 16" x 16" pillow insert, because I'd like a substantial border for the rather largish rectangular piece instead of a tiny strip ;)

Very pretty stitching and finishing. I see what you mean about putting the design off center, I tend to be very symmetrical so initially I thought it looked a little odd, but the more I looked at it the more I liked it ;)
