I've only appliqued hearts until this. It's an experience, an adventure no doubt. I don't think I'm doing a good job of it. Since the applique comes in small doses, I suppose I'll be okay with it. No Baltimore quilts for me for sure! There's another block with a bird to complete and then I hope to piece the blocks together.
I LOVE how good yours looks. Starting to peruse my stash for blues and greens. Ahem.

Oh my gosh. Thanks (I think!) for including the link to the designer's blog. I love your blocks, and the finished quilt is going to be GORGEOUS!! I was never confident in my applique abilities despite doing a fair amount of it. I want to try it again--I'm going crazy over the latest Blackbird Designs book. I know You Tube has some nice instructional videos on applique. I think your blocks are wonderful, though! You're too tough a critic on yourself!
