Size: 18 1/2" square. Designed by Kathleen Tracy for Small Quilt Talk's Valentine Challenge |
I've started on Lori's Cheddar, Cheese & Crackers. Lori did a quilt along last January. It's a really interesting block at 4 1/2" square. Have to be careful with the placement of prints.
PS More Friends (Friendship is a Sheltering Tree) is almost finished. There's still the bottom area with blocks of the same colour i.e. the grass, the lady's skirt. We stitchers call this 'vast' expanse of one colour 'yawn stitching'. Absolutely monotonous. But it has to be done and I'd like to see it finished this week.
well Cupid may not like your Valentine doll quilt but i sure think it's fabulous~!!~
ReplyDeletesome day i hope to do the Cheddar Cheese and Crackers quilt and seeing your start makes me wish it were soon.

ReplyDeleteCareful Barbara, you don't want to upset Cupid.
ReplyDeleteBut I think Cupid will be okay, there's alot to like about that little quilt.
Lori's projects are all so appealing but haven't had a chance to get involved yet. Still watching from afar.
Your cupid quilt looks fantastic and a little blue is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the CC&C quilt and the yawn stitching!! What a funny name!
Delightful Valentine quilt. I want to make that one too.

You're X-stitching is absolutely beautiful, and you did a great job on the Valentine's quilt.
ReplyDeleteI have bought a little booklet of x-stitch patterns, so will have to pick your brains soon!!!
