Civil War Quilt Blocks 2/52 - North Star

Really enjoying these weekly blocks by Barbara Brackman.  And the stories about the American Civil War is a wonderful bonus.

Recently arrival of 3 pkgs of fabrics. Their mostly CW and grouped by colours.  The fabrics are currently being washed.

The blouse is coming along slowly.  What's left are the buttons and hand stitching the front plackets down.

Oh! Barbara, your blocks are coming along beautifully, I just love your latest offering. Now there is that 'square-in-a-square' ruler again. Tell me, what size is it? I believe there is a small & large, and where do you get it from? Curious minds want to know, I think I need something like that too LOL!!! Your stash is wonderful, I too have a lot to wash before I start, but seeing yours is giving me palpitations LOL, I probably won't be able to resist this project, but then you knew that!!!

  2. Is that you Merilyn?

My square-in-a-square ruler is the big one i.e. 12" x 9". I got it directly from Jodi Barrows herself.
