Some sewing

I have recently joined Pinterest.   It's a great way to pin my To-Do List and tutorials that I come across while browsing the net.  There are some red & white quilts that I've been fancying.  I will be taking positive measures in stocking up some red & whites for sure :)

Some linen and cotton fabric from Ikea to be sewed into curtains.

Zakka linen fabrics for bags and aprons.

The Burda 2561 blouse is completed.  Turned out great and quite comfy in cotton. Would like to make another with linen instead.

Andre shorts in process.  I've actually completed it but did not have the time to take a pic.  It's dark grey twill.

More fabric for shorts.  Their for my dad, he picked them himself.

Some fabrics for my future blouses and a dress.

Finally some piecing albeit quite slowly.  It's going to be Cheri's January quilt.

Mary Glover's 1/1 stitching is all completed ... and am I glad ...  Now hopefully I am able to catch up on the SAL soon.

  1. You have been busy! I love the red and white fabric and the linen. That has always been a great color and this year I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of it.

  2. Your stitching is so fine Barbara, so delicate and pretty. I love your work.
You are really steaming ahead with the clothing, your shirt looks perfect for a hot day.
I popped over to have a look at Cheri's quilt, Simple design but very attractive and yours will be too.
Keep up the good work, I love sneaking a peak at what you are up to. No stress?

I enjoyed seeing all of your projects. The blouse looks great and since you made it yourself, it will fit perfectly.

  4. Your cross stitch is just lovely!
I'm picking up my magnifier lamp today and a few more embroidery threads, so my stitching should start very soon!!! Looking at yours though makes me feel a bit daunted!!!
I love your little 'cross' blocks, I had a look at Cheri's and it is a darling design.
Your dress making is coming along well! I'm sure your Dad will love his new shorts! I haven't done dress making for years, it was all I ever did at one time!
Hope all is well with you Barbara!!
