Strawberry Fields. QAL by Lori D. Size: 26" x 20" |
My needlecase swap from Mary C in Canada. It's done in wool and roomy. There's a whole lot of work in the small XS piece that has been tea-dyed after stitching . Since I've been doing a lot of quilting and some sewing lately, I realise cross stitch is way way more time consuming. Mary Glover is going at a snail's pace ...
Ilhan's shirt in progress. It still needs sewing the sides. I am thinking of sewing the French seams method, buttons and button hole and pockets. Looks a little short to me. Maybe If I used a slightly smaller hem I would be able to pull it off.
More blouse fabric for myself. Mostly cotton and cotton blend. Second from right is a lining similar to acetate lining for a blouse I am planning. And right most is cotton-linen blend gingham for some crafting.
Barbara, your Strawberry Fields is so pretty, you will enjoy that little quilt for a long time.
ReplyDeleteYour needlecase is lovely and so much work in the stitchery. A very special gift indeed.
Strawberry Fields done!! woo-hoo!! You gotta get to your quilting:)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the cross stitch on the sewing kit is gorgeous!

I love your Strawberry Fields quilt!!! You have done a great job on it! and it makes quite a statement, a lot of fiddley bits to work with, but oh! so worth it!!! The cross-stitch is just lovely on your needle-case too, it's a cute little kit!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your strawberry fields! It's on my to do list, too.
ReplyDeleteThe cross-stitched needle case is so pretty. I'm finding, too, that the cross-stitch is more time consuming, but there is something about making those little x's - much like hand quilting - very calming.
Your blouse looks so cheery and comfy - love your choices of fabric - always need those ginghams and strips.
What a gorgeous quilt top!! I love it. The XS kit is fantastic, too--what a lot of detail went into such a small piece! Beautiful. Love the sewing, too.
ReplyDeleteYour Strawberry Fields looks great. I am still stitching mine... It will take longer since it is a leader ender project for me.
ReplyDeleteNice lot of fabrics. More coming eh? Agreed! yes, xs is very time consuming unlike sewing...LOL
ReplyDeleteWell done on the needlecase.
